Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These are the rules for using veiledworks.com (“VeiledWorks”), a hobby site run by Joshua Doty. By using the site or making an account you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Who can use it
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, get a parent or guardian’s permission. Browsing and playing as a guest is free. The site is a personal project offered free of charge and may change, break, or go away at any time.
2. Your account
- Pick a handle that isn’t someone else’s name, isn’t hateful or misleading, and isn’t reserved. I may refuse or change handles.
- Keep your password and your one-time recovery code safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. I can’t recover a lost password without the recovery code.
- One person, one account. Don’t share or sell accounts.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post or upload (profile text, pictures, posts, comments, messages, code you write). To run the site, you give VeiledWorks a limited, non-exclusive, free permission to store, display and deliver that content in the places you put it (for example your public card, the feed, or a message to a friend). Only post what you have the right to share. If you delete your content or account, that permission ends, except for copies that others have already made.
4. Rules
Don’t:
- post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or that exposes someone’s private information;
- upload pictures of other people without their OK, or any image that isn’t appropriate for a general audience that includes teenagers;
- cheat on leaderboards (for example by sending fake scores), spam, or impersonate others;
- attack, scrape, overload, or try to break into the site or other people’s accounts, or get around its limits (this includes using People search to collect lists of members, and sending friend requests in bulk; friend requests are limited per day);
- use the site or Code Lab to make malware or to harm others.
Content and accounts can be reported. I may hide or remove content, reset scores, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.
5. AI-generated content
Synth Rabbit and the Code Lab use AI. AI can be wrong. It may state false things confidently, make mistakes in code, write insecure code, produce odd or inappropriate output, or misremember. Treat everything it says or builds as a suggestion to check, not as professional, legal, medical, financial or safety advice. You are responsible for how you use anything AI produces, including code you run or publish. AI output may be similar to output given to other people, and I don’t promise it is free of other people’s rights. Don’t put secrets or sensitive personal information into AI features (see the Privacy Policy).
6. Code Lab limits
To keep this free and affordable, the Code Lab has limits. Today, each account gets 1 AI app build per week (the week resets Monday at midnight, US Central time), plus a capped number of ordinary tutoring chat messages per day. Saving your own project is not an AI build. Synth Rabbit elsewhere on the site also has daily limits, and when the site’s daily AI allowance is used up it rests until the next day. Limits can change without notice, and AI features can be turned off at any time.
7. Google features
The optional Google Drive backup and Google sign-in are provided by Google, and your use of them is also subject to Google’s terms. See the Privacy Policy for what we ask for.
8. The site itself
The VeiledWorks design, name, games and artwork (including Synth Rabbit) belong to their creators. You may play and use the site for personal, non-commercial use, but don’t copy it and pass it off as your own. Some parts include third-party material under their own licenses.
9. No warranty; limit of liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, free, without promises. I don’t guarantee it will be secure, always online, bug-free, or that your data, scores or projects will never be lost. Keep your own backups of anything important (the Code Lab can export your memory to a file). To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses from using the site, AI output, or other users’ content; my total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid to use the site, which is nothing. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can’t be waived.
10. Ending things, deleting your account, and changes
You can stop using the site any time and delete your account yourself from My VeiledWorks (see Deleting your data). I can suspend or remove access at any time. I may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version.
11. Contact
Questions, reports, or a problem with someone’s content: jdoty83@gmail.com (Joshua Doty, VeiledWorks).
